Windowsill shows the weather for a city you choose. It's built to collect nothing about you.

What stays on your Mac

The city you choose and your settings (units, animations, launch at login) are stored only on your Mac. Windowsill has no account and no sign-in.

What leaves your Mac

To show the weather, Windowsill sends the chosen city's coordinates to a weather service: Apple Weather, or Open-Meteo when Apple Weather isn't available. When you search for a city, the text you type is sent to Open-Meteo to find matching places. Nothing else is sent, and none of it identifies you.

What Windowsill doesn't do

No analytics, no tracking, no ads, and no access to your Mac's location.
